the wedding
Their ceremony was absolutely stunning as they married under Red Butte’s wisteria in the fragrance garden. Despite having a decently large guest list, it felt so intimate because you could really feel how in the moment and supportive their loved ones were for them. Remembering back to the first time I met Alexa and Eric over drinks, tears came to their eyes as they described just how important their friends and family were to them. Everyone in attendance had a deep and lasting connection with these two. One of my favorite parts of their ceremony was watching the thunderstorm sweep the valley behind and below them. And Lin Floral Co. absolutely crushed it by complimenting the gardens with her floral designs.
the party
They kicked the evening off with a congo line dance that seemed to be a tradition at all of their family weddings. It was absolute chaos in all the best ways as the line weaved through the gardens, into the dinner space, and out through the cocktail patio again. They went right into dinner, touching speeches, and dances where they had everyone circle them around the dance floor. Another theme that showed how important their community support and involvement was. Their party was amazing as they danced along to Jake and the Heist, which might possibly be my favorite wedding band to this day.
