WILL YOU PHOTOGRAPH MY WEDDING?
That’s an easy one – yes! If you have something to celebrate and enjoy my work then yes, I would love to be there.
WHAT’S YOUR APPROACH TO WEDDINGS?
To document absolutely everything going on during your wedding or session without you even knowing I’m there. Instead of overwhelming you and your guests with a big photography production, I aim to keep my presence calm and low to capture everything from details and key moments to candids and all the supporting characters celebrating with you. Keeping my presence low for most of your wedding helps you and your loved ones feel comfortable with me so I can create genuinely natural images. With that said, I do step in and give guided direction when needed, especially during family and couples portraits.
WHY FULL DAY COVERAGE?
I do coverage differently from most photographers. First and foremost, I feel your photography experience will be better when you have me along for your entire day. Your wedding doesn’t begin at 4pm when your rental does. Your day begins when you wake up and get ready with your friends and loved ones. It begins when you make that first cup of coffee and hike the mountain overlooking your ceremony site. With full day coverage your photographs will feel more personal as you’ll see more than just photos of your centerpieces and portraits. Your entire day is an experience and I love seeing couples form theirs around what they love. Documenting it is a bonus.
WE’VE NEVER BEEN PHOTOGRAPHED. CAN YOU HELP?
You’re not alone and I’m here to help! Most couples haven’t been photographed, let alone together, and feel nervous being photographed. These feelings are normal. The experience I give revolves around giving guided direction so you feel more confident and like yourselves in your photos. We will extensively talk about image style so I better understand you as a couple and what you’re hoping to get from your images.
CAN WE HAVE A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?
Of course! Second photographers aren’t always necessary but can be helpful, especially at longer/larger weddings with several locations. My second photographers are always full time professionals so the images are high quality and can be edited to be consistent with mine.
My go-to second photographer is my fiance, Todd, who has been photographing with me since our business began. I do have options for when he isn’t available.
DO YOU TRAVEL?
I do travel! Some of my favorite places to work are the San Francisco bay area, Moab, Portland, and Los Angeles. Travel fees include 2 nights hotel and airfare.
ARE YOU LGBTQ+ FRIENDLY?
Yes! My second photographers and I are inclusive and support everyone. All are welcome and celebrated.
WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?
Starting rates are listed on my pricing page. Pricing is based on me as your photographer and full event coverage of literally everything. I’m typically there early when you begin getting ready through the end of your party. Please contact me for additional information on pricing for full day weddings, elopements, travel, and portraits.
WHAT GEAR DO YOU USE?
My main camera bodies are the Nikon d850s and Z6ii. My lenses are all prime and include the 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm Sigma Art. I also bring along a medium format Holga film camera, instax mini, and on occasion a Nikon F100. All cameras, lenses, memory cards, and batteries have several backups that don’t leave my side. My gear is maintained, reliable, and professional quality.
CAN WE MEET BEFORE BOOKING?
Of course! I’m always available and open to as much communication as my clients need and encourage we touch base several times before your wedding. During COVID-19 I’m strictly meeting via video call/phone call.
HOW DO WE HIRE YOU?
Start by either filling out my contact form here or emailing me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. Tell me about your wedding such as your date, location, and any other applicable information you would like to share. We’ll talk about pricing and image style to make sure you get exactly what you’re looking for. When you’re ready I’ll send an agreement so we can tackle the deposit and get to planning.
